Job Scope

As a Business Development Manager, Regional at Narrators, you will be responsible for the sales & account management functions across Singapore and Malaysia. Your main goals are:

  • To deliver your revenue targets,
  • To recruit new clients (agencies and brands) and to up-sell existing Narrators’ clients,
  • To create and execute best in class influencer marketing campaigns.

Here is a non-exhaustive list of your responsibilities:

1. Business Management

  • Manage the funnel and pitching process with ad agencies and major brands, including initial research about the brand, ideation and conceptualisation, deck building, and proposal preparation
  • Ensure credentials & presentations are localised to reflect our newest and strongest work, and help set us apart from the competition
  • Maintain your funnel with a database of current, past, and prospective agency and clients contacts, as well as past pitch materials
  • Attend networking events and trade shows
  • Expect the occasional after-hours client/agency drinks to build and enhance relationships

2. Account Management

  • Campaign management – in close collaboration with your Account Manager and the Global Campaign Hub
  • Ensure that your clients are on-boarded on the Narrators platform
  • Maintain oversight of clients’ overall campaign timelines and day-to-day execution to ensure deadlines and KPIs are met and delivered
  • Manage internal and external resources to execute deliverables
  • Prepare and present reporting to clients
  • Be able and ready to execute day-to-day campaign management for your markets whenever required

3. Reporting & Support

  • Keep Company sales CRM tool tracker up to date
  • Weekly update with the Revenue & Operations Global Lead on the pipeline, challenges, trends, etc.

Job Requirements

  • Min. 5 years of excellent track record and reputation of client servicing and/or business development at an advertising, communications, digital, or social media agency regionally or locally
  • Proven success with agency personnel interaction both over the phone and in person
  • Successfully led high-impact, high-visibility campaigns with exceptional business acumen – able to quickly grasp new technologies and define business opportunities for market success
  • Ability to on-board close sales and generate revenues
  • You would have experience executing social media campaigns, particularly those with user-generated content on Facebook and/or Instagram, and executing against KPIs
  • Independent, structured, detail-oriented and organized, with exceptional prioritization skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently as part of a distributed team
  • Active user across Instagram, Facebook, or any other social networks
  • Willing to travel
