The Brief

Blue and Yellow Movement - Samsung influencer Engagement - Malaysia - August 2018

In this campaign, which is divided into two phases, Samsung highlights the product’s striking colours: blue and yellow thus inspiring the hashtags #BueAndYellow and #GottaHaveIt.

 

THE SAMSUNG INFLUENCER ENGAGEMENT BRIEF:

 

Samsung wanted to be affiliated with influencers who are really into mobile photography, from all ethnic backgrounds and has at least 5,000 followers on Instagram. They were required to come up with four posts: three photo posts and one IG story which should be submitted within deadline. In the IG story, they will be announcing a contest wherein Samsung will be giving away six Note9 units to the lucky winners.

 

PHOTO: Content content can be food & beverage, scenery & landscapes, portraits & lifestyles, motifs & patterns, nature & flowers etc and needs to have a blue and yellow theme. They were asked to enhance the image with doodles done with the S-Pen. In the caption, they can talk about anything relevant to the photo and mention how blue and yellow are also Samsung’s colours.

PHASE 2: GIVEAWAY CONTEST

In this phase of the campaign, Samsung aimed to announce a nationwide contest in Malaysia to encourage everyone to unlease their #ImagineNation by joining the Blue and Yellow movement. 

Influencers need to create two photo posts and three IG stories on Instagram, which will make use of the Note9’s doodle feature with the S-Pen.

PHOTOS: The photos need to focus on the campaign theme, and with the use of their #ImagineNation, make it more creative by doodling relevant images on the photo. In the caption, they should put in the contest mechanics:

  1. Watch out for the weekly theme.
  2. Take a picture that is relevant to the theme and doodle it with your imagination!
  3. Upload to Instagram with Hashtag “ImagineNationNote9 ” and tag @SamsungMalaysia.

IG STORIES: The three IG stories served as reminders for the contest mechanics, and also highlighted the prizes which included a Samsung Note9 and 200 pairs of Selfie museum tickets.
